Panamax Tanker Talara's Sudden Change of Course Spike Questions of "State Activity"
Panamax tanker Talara vanished from AIS after a sudden course change into Iranian waters, raising UKMTO concerns of possible state involvement.

It was on Sunday morning of November 9 that the Ever Sigma collided with a pleasure boat in English Bay, Vancouver.
According to ShipAtlas, Ever Sigma was on its way to Vancouver (with a brief stop in Tacoma) from Meishan in China when the collision happened. Data showes that the british-flagged vessel collided with the pleasure craft around 21:03 UTC, which corresponds with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada's (TSB) information that the incident occurred around 11:20AM local time.
The Vancouver Police Department's (VPD) maritime unite recieved a alert at 11:30AM.
According to VPD the small pleasure craft was taking in water after impact and had 2 persons onboard. However, they were taken to safety but a police patrol boat that responded to the scene.
The Port of Vancouver stated that no injuries had occurred and that the incident would not halt port operations.
After the incident VPD has handed over the investigation to the Transportation Safety Board, which will determine the cause of the collision.
The 6,944 TEU Ever Sigma is a part of the Evergreen S-series, which is a series of 10 container ships built for Evergreen Marine. The ship was built in 2005 by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries at their Kobe shipyard in Japan.
Ever Sigma is now moored in Vancouver.
