Fire Aboard General Cargo Vessel Jolyn at Hamburg Port Injures Eight
Fire aboard Royal Wagenborg cargo vessel Jolyn at Hamburg port on May 24 injures eight — six crew and one firefighter hospitalised, 80 emergency personnel deployed.

A Liberia-flagged tanker, Olympic Spirit (IMO: 9327097), came under attack in the Red Sea on Thursday. The attack has been claimed by Houthi militants. The incident occurred approximately 73 nautical miles southwest of Yemen’s port of Hodeidah (LOCODE: YEHOD), while the vessel was en route from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to Muscat, Oman.
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) confirmed the attack, issuing a warning regarding the incident. The vessel’s master reported that the ship had been hit by an unknown projectile and suffered damage, but the crew remained safe, and no fires were reported.
The master later reported that two additional projectiles detonated near the Olympic Spirit, followed by another explosion in close proximity to the vessel a short while later.
UKMTO's updates indicated that despite being hit and in close proximity of the later attackss, the crew remained unharmed.
