Ukrainian drones struck the Russian port of Taman overnight Saturday, igniting fires at fuel storage tanks, warehouses and terminal facilities, regional authorities confirmed.
Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said an oil tank, warehouse structures and port terminals in the town of Volna were damaged. Two people were hospitalized following the attack.
The strike marks the fourth attack on Taman in two months. Previous Ukrainian operations targeted the Tamanneftegaz complex, damaging piers, pipelines and petroleum storage tanks. Industry sources estimate that around four million tonnes of oil products passed through Taman last year, and the port plays a role in supplying fuel for Russian military operations.
The attack comes just 48 hours before Russian and Ukrainian negotiators are scheduled to meet in Geneva for U.S.-brokered peace talks.
Russia has also intensified strikes on Ukrainian Black Sea ports in recent months. Ukrainian officials report 96 attacks on seaports in 2025, affecting more than 300 port facilities, including cargo terminals and grain infrastructure.
No immediate comment was issued by Ukrainian officials regarding the latest strike.
