Herman assumed the role as CEO in 2020 Bulkers 1 February 2022. He has extensive experience in shipping, and has previously held a number of senior roles within chartering and management. This includes chartering and MD at T. Klaveness Group 1998-2005, MD Frapaco Shipping, CEO Golden Ocean Management 2005 - 2016, Songa Bulk and most recently SVP in Star Bulk 2018 - 2022.

Herman has his education from the Royal Norwegian Navy, and Norwegian Business School.
