Jr. Sales and CSM

Want to join one of the fastest growing global maritime software companies and take part in building the commercial unit? We are looking for a junior salesperson interested in sales, marketing, and customer success who knows the maritime industry.

About us

We established Maritime Optima AS in April 2018, and we are privately funded by serial tech entrepreneurs and shipping investors. We are also supported by Innovation Norway. We were awarded the Copernicus Award in 2018 and the Microsoft Startup program in October 2019. We work closely with the users and many global shipping companies while developing our products.

The first MVP of Maritime Optima (now ShipAtlas) was launched in August 2020. Today ShipAtlas has more than 85 000 registered users around the world. In October 2022, we launched ShipIntel for maritime professionals, which is rapidly growing.

We believe in knowledge-driven maritime intelligence based on quality data, and ShipIntel is a software product for the shipping industry which aids them in making more informed choices. This is mainly done through a solid data foundation and with manual enrichment by users, which they can share with colleagues. By intuitively presenting the data and making it possible to “play” with it, we help our customers to utilize their company’s collective knowledge.

To build these products, we need a great team ourselves! Our team today has solid domain knowledge and very skilled developers. We are a team of 3 persons working with marketing, customer success, and sales, and in 2023 we will build and grow the marketing, customer success, and sales section.

We are looking for a junior salesperson interested in sales, marketing, and customer success who knows about the maritime industry. We offer an opportunity to work with us to build and grow a global sales organization.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be in charge of the daily support and sale while carving out a strategy, plan, and establishing routines with our digital marketing manager and the CEO.
  • Onboard new customers.
  • Follow up on renewals and encourage upsells and cross-sells.
  • Manage the company's CRM system (HubSpot) and regularly maintain our customer and contact database.  
  • Help build our marketing, customer support, and sales team for ShipIntel, establish routines, and execute our weekly plans.

Wanted qualifications:

  • Interest in and experience selling SaaS software products.
  • Overall good IT skills and understanding.
  • Education in sales is desirable, but relevant sales experience compensates.
  • Knowledge about the commercial side of the shipping industry. A shipbroker might be a perfect candidate for this position.
  • Professional working proficiency in English, preferably also Norwegian.
  • Knowledge about HubSpot is an advantage.
