Jon is a "hard core" shipping man with more than 30 years of experience in the business. Shipping is basically in hos blood; his great grandfather was a sailor, his grandfather, a Vice Admiral, was in the navy, and his father was a ship broker.

Jon started as a tanker/projects broker at P.F Bassøe many years ago, and spent 13 years with Bassøe before leaving for joining Frontline, where he started as a Chartering Manager on tankers and OBO’s (capes), he then proceeded to VP S&P/Projects sale and purchase, before joining Awilco as Managing Director in 2008. In 2012 he co-founded Awilco LNG where he still works as CEO. He is married and has three “children”, likes to ski, sail and to play golf. He loves gadgets and he is into all kinds of new tech.
