Mikus moved to Norway in 2021 to complete his studies and pursue a career in the shipping industry. He has graduated from BI Norwegian Business School and Riga Business School where he has obtained a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with specialization in Shipping Management.

Mikus describes himself as a social butterfly and is very keen on exploring different cultures, meeting new people, and taking on various challenges. His main interests revolve around: cultures and countries, shipping industry, psychology, motorsports, foosball and various physical activities.
