Meet Thea - Our Content Marketer

Hi Thea! Welcome to Maritime Optima! Tell us a little bit about yourself?

Hola! I’m Thea, a 30 year old woman from Oslo. In essence, I’m a creative enthusiast who loves the process of making things with my hands and mind, constantly seeking new ways to express myself. Professionally, I have a background in B2B marketing, where I've found a way of combining my creativity and strategic thinking to bring a fresh and innovative perspective to the projects I take on.

Tell us a little bit about your background? Your education? What are your interests? What have you been doing before you joined Maritime Optima?

I hold an MSc in Strategic Marketing Management, which has given me a robust understanding of marketing strategies and a passion for creating meaningful connections between brands and their audiences. After completing my degree, I transitioned into a marketing coordinator role at a B2B IT and Consultancy firm. My time there made me into a real marketing potato, with extensive experience within all aspects of B2B marketing, but it also revealed that my true passion and skill set lies within content creation, visual communication, and event marketing; crafting compelling narratives, designing visually impactful materials, and coordinating  events that leave a lasting impression on both clients and audiences have become the areas where I find the most fulfillment. 

What will be your responsibilities in Maritime Optima?

In short, my key responsibilities at Maritime Optima will be to develop and execute our inbound marketing, communication and SoMe strategies. But I'm eager to contribute to the company's success by leveraging my skills and willingness to learn in whatever area my team needs me.

There are so many “digital maritime initiatives” / start-ups - what do you think is unique with Maritime Optima?

I believe what sets Maritime Optima apart in the landscape of digital maritime initiatives and startups is our motivation, team spirit and diverse backgrounds. Each member of Maritime Optima brings a wealth of knowledge to the table and possesses a high level of expertise in their respective fields. The collective competence, passion, and diversity creates an environment that fosters a collaborative atmosphere, where every team member shares a genuine passion for ensuring our success.

What do you think a tech start-up needs to have or do in order to be successful?

There are probably several crucial elements that come in to play for a tech startup to be successful, but I would say the most important is to deliver a product or service that genuinely adds value and addresses the needs of our target audience, and, of course to build a dedicated team who believe in the product and its value, who are willing to put in the effort it takes to make it successful.
